It's all about getting into the Halloween spirit this year - since it's one of the best holidays without a doubt. I like it for playing the role as a sort of a "kick-off" for the more important season to come. Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, and everything in between... Good times. But if you didn't know, this wallpaper focuses on yurei, and this baby is an 'onryō' ghost: a "vengeful ghost who comes back from purgatory for a wrong done to them during their lifetime."
This ghost is clearly very angry and is a brief portrayal of the story of Sachiko from the Kamakura district in Kanagawa, Japan. Old legend has it that Sachiko was murdered behind the scenes at a Kabuki play which was happening during her death. Because it was her odd-job to provide the screaming and other effects for the part when the female protagonist is killed in the play (since Kabuki has a male-only acting cast), nobody could tell if her last scream of life was a reality or rehearsed. When the play ended, nobody could find Sachiko because the unidentifiable murderer (who had his way with her and disappeared) dragged her to a creek in the countryside and threw her body into dark and polluted water. Sachiko's spirit eventually lived on and somehow gained the control and trust of many wild nocturnal animals who resided close to where her corpse had floated off to. She is a yurei who can be identified by an evil mannerism through the living spirits of pests, rodents, and other lowly animals, as well as harmful reptiles. She is not a ghost to fuck around with.
Your hand was great. I especially love the pinky-scoop you had on that hand. It gave it that extra strange touch I needed. Thanks a lot for your praise.
